Take two pictures, give her one back, she’s still got her soul, you have your picture. : ) Stephen in discussing if photography captures souls.

Got that lion mane going on again.
Today is a new day. Hitting that restart button and going back to life refreshed.
That’s what I decided this morning.

Great Day!

Early morning shoot.

Little girl in the woods.

Kind of a bummer because when we went to go pick her up there was also her little brother there who was the cutest kid I’ve ever seen. He wore a Spiderman outfit and was jumping all over the place, kept giving me high fives and taking my hand to show me around.  He wanted to come with but his mum said no and insisted on taking his shoes and coat every time he got ready to go.

Let me tell you. I think it is darn near one of the cutest things when little kids start to tell you something and then whisper to you the last of their story, especially when it’s unnecessary.

So anyway, we got to the river and shot.

My sister is going to make such a great mother.  She packed snacks and a drink for Grace and made sure she was buckled and made sure she had her GameBoy when she got in the car and insisted she wear her coat and tennis shoes.  All the things that I would have just been like, “fuck it, she’ll just have to tough it out.”

I didn’t shoot as many places as I would have liked so we’ll see if I have enough pictures for my project…

I forgot my coupons at home for Costco so I had to go back home, had pb&j for lunch, always a fave.

Then mom took me to Costco to get 50 free prints, SO STOKED!!

50 prints are usually about $6 which is really nothing.  for 4x6.  I mean, to have tangible, quality prints I think I’m definitely going to start taking advantage of that more.

I get so pumped to have physical copies of my photos just because my life has become so digital, it’s nice to be able to hold something and bring it into the real world.

Heading back to Richmond tomorrow.

Kinda wish I was there for First Friday tonight but really, it’s not that big of a deal.  I got to spend some time with my mum and dad just got in from his trip to L.A. so I got to see him for a minute before he started working on the basement again.

The parents have been working hard to get this house in the best condition they could dream. Which is really awesome.

I think we all, especially my family, really cling onto projects that require almost an obsessive behavior to finish.  I think it’s a perfectionist mentality.

Little brother gets his license tomorrow.

Very scary.

Mom and I were talking about our five year from now selves.

I’m pumped about my five years from now but thinking that that’ll be the year little brother graduates college blows my mind.
